Regina Orikannu

Regina Orikannu | Founder & International Coordinator

Regina Orikannu is the founder of the Solution Women International Foundation (SWIF). Her life’s passion is helping women who have been abused and or neglected. She founded SWIF as an organization dedicated to being a voice and advocate for women and girls in Africa struggling to overcome the stigma of being a widow, orphan, or abused individual. Helping others is the most fulfilling part of her ministry. She holds a degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Portland State University. Regina loves to pray, is a mother, entrepreneur, and a healthcare provider.


Amaka Okoye | Treasurer USA

Amaka Okoye hails from the Eastern region of Nigeria, she is a wife and a mother of two beautiful children. She joined this cause because SWIF’s mission represents her heart and lifelong goal to empower and inspire women from all walks of life. Amaka notes that she’s always drawn to women who appear forgotten, out of touch with society, or who feel they don’t belong. Amaka has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Concordia University, Portland and strives to use her healthcare career to serve and make an impact in the lives of women through education.


Jane Irungu

Jane Irungu | Director of Education and Empowerment

Dr. Jane Irungu works at the Utah State University. She has worked for many years as an educator both in her home country of Kenya and in the United States. Aside from her regular work, she also works with underserved women, and primary and high school students in Africa, offering scholarships and mentoring opportunities through individual effort and in collaboration with different organizations.

Dr. Irungu believes education is a powerful tool that can positively transform individuals and communities, and the SWIF vision of empowerment, education, and community service speaks directly to the values that she holds dear. She believes that by empowering, and giving voice and hope to the underserved, we are creating stronger, healthier, independent, and self-sufficient communities for today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.


Pamela Soh

Pamela Soh | Director of Women's Health

Dr. Soh is in charge of women's health issues. Professionally, Dr. Soh is a clinical pharmacist and professor who is passionate about promoting science education, especially for African women. Yearly, she coordinates and runs activities that relate to early breast cancer detection and treatment.

Emmanuella Uju Egeonu (Ella) | Secretary

Emmanuella Uju Egeonu (Ella) is from Imo State, Nigeria. She currently lives in the United States. Emmanuella has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Ashford University. She loves assisting the less privileged and wishes to use her degree to expand her services and experience.
