Solution Women International Foundation provides financial support for access to primary and secondary education.
Lack of access to primary and secondary education is recognized as a significant contributor to poverty and reduced opportunities for gainful employment, as well as a leading factor in such things as criminal enterprises, substance abuse disorders, domestic violence, and the trafficking of humans.
Barriers to obtaining training and educational programs in many African communities include:
Lack of financial support
Limited resources such as tools, affordable housing, etc.
Corrupt systems that limit access by marginalized groups such as females, people with disabilities, social caste systems, etc.
Family issues and gender bias that does not support women seeking higher education or working in male-dominated trades and professions.
Solution Women International Foundation contributes resources to provide scholarships to help students with funds for up to four years of college or a trade school of their choice.
We also work with local communities to provide affordable housing close to educational programs and even match students with local families and churches to support and encourage them in pursuing their goals while they may be away from home.
SWIF believes in becoming the change you want to see in others.
