About the Solution Women International Foundation

Solution Women International Foundation (SWIF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports at-risk women and children through direct services and support programs throughout the world.

Our Mission

To empower less privileged women who are victims of abuse, giving them a voice as agents of change in our global society.

Our Vision

Raising the status of women and establishing their inherent value and potential in society.

SWIF advocates for and empowers those we serve, providing a path toward self-transformation.

In engaging with those whom we serve, we meet them wherever they may be in their journey, acknowledging who and where they are. With first-hand experience in many of the challenges the face, our team is committed to delivering services and support from a place of understanding. While SWIF is not a faith-based organization, we are guided by the principles of our faith, most importantly:

“And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday.” (King James Bible, Isaiah 58:10)

Though our mission is women-centered, SWIF does not discriminate when providing service – we extend our services to all in need regardless of gender, race, religion, or other social classifications. Our goal is to advocate for the voiceless, ensuring that they are seen as having value and empowering them to create life-changing opportunities for themselves.

The goals we seek to provide for all of our clients are to help them:

  • Find resilience in hoping for a better tomorrow,

  • Discover self-worth by being acknowledged and contributing to society,

  • Learn to self-advocate through being advocated for,

  • Access opportunities for education and medical/mental health resources,

  • Experience total transformation by “serving forward” and taking steps toward a better future for themselves and their families and partners.

SWIF was founded by Evangelist Regina Orikannu, an immigrant to America from Nigeria. After a return visit to her former home, she was reminded of the challenges she had growing up as an orphan in Nigeria. She began the process of networking and developing supporters, volunteers, and resources in both Nigeria and the United States to provide opportunities for women and orphans in both countries, and the Solution Women International Foundation was launched!
